A Nurse Aide will assist the nursing staff in providing excellent, effective, and safe patient care, be responsible for providing patient personal care, bathing, and personal hygiene. You will participate in admission, dismissal, and the transfer process and contribute to the permanent documentation of patient data. Completes the essential function of constant observer or telesitter where applicable. This includes monitoring the patient at bedside and/or remotely via audio/visual technology to promote patient safety while maintaining patient privacy and dignity. On-the-job training and continual support will help build knowledge and skills needed to provide best-in-class care and demonstrate cohesive teamwork!

Job Description:
Junior Nurse Aide (16 or 17 years old) can do any job that has not been declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor. Below are examples of duties that CANNOT be performed by a Junior Nurse Aide:
- Operate power driven hoist or floor-based vertical powered patient/resident lift (may assist a trained adult but may not be sole operator).
- Operating motor vehicles on public roads and working as outside helpers on motor vehicles.
- Work in any room which involves exposure to ionized radiation.
- Work in departments within facilities such as X-ray rooms and laboratories.
- Work in areas where they could be exposed to radioactive substances and ionizing radiation.
- Operate handheld power equipment.
- Operate floor scrubber.
- Operate power driven power equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Completes patient cares and documentation accurately and in a timely manner according to policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Demonstrates the desire to grow as an employee, team, and facility.
- Positively supports and contributes to departmental development as evidenced by participating in meetings and training.
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Nurse Aide contributes valuable input to the patient’s care planning process.
- Assesses and provides direct resident care needs to residents with supervised personal/rehabilitative cares as outlined in their individualized care plan to assist with maintaining or improving functional abilities, comfort, independence, and safety.
- Reports any safety concerns, abnormal parameters as defined for the patient population, or health concerns of the patient to the nurse.
- Encourages the patient to participate in their own activities of daily living and other aspects of the plan of care as appropriate.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Physical Requirements: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
